According to Penal Code ¤ 290.01, registration of sexual offenders, convicted sexual offenders are required to register with university police under Section 290 if any 一个 of the following is true:

  • Residing on the 菠菜网lol正规平台 campus.
  • Enrolled as a student of 菠菜网lol正规平台.
  • Employed by 菠菜网lol正规平台, either full-time or part-time (includes paid employees or volunteers).
  • Working or carrying on a vocation at 菠菜网lol正规平台 (i.e. contractors) for more than 14 days, or for an aggregate period exceeding 30 days in a calendar year (paid workers as well 作为志愿者).

Any persons listed above must register with UPD within 5 business days of commencing enrollment or employment with 菠菜网lol正规平台. Registrants are also required to notify UPD within 5 days of ceasing to be enrolled or employed, or ceasing to carry on a vocation at 菠菜网lol正规平台.

In strict compliance with the provisions of 梅根的法律 (第290和290条.4 of the California Penal Code), UPD releases information about threats to the safety of the campus community from serious and high risk sex offenders 在上海大学或附近.

UPD may make notification to any of the following persons, agencies or organizations the offender is likely to encounter, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office
  • Other local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies (such as the Santa Clara County Sexual Assault Investigators Association, the California Sexual Assault Investigators Association and the Sexual Habitual Offender Program)
  • Public and private educational institutions

  • Locations that primarily serve individuals likely to be victimized by an offender
  • Other community members at risk

UPD may provide any of the following information regarding a sex offender living within our concurrent jurisdictional area to any of the persons, agencies or organizations authorized to receive information:

  • The offender's date of birth
  • Crimes resulting in registration under 290 PC

  • Type of victim targeted by the offender
  • Relevant parole and probation conditions, such as 一个 prohibiting contact with children
  • Dates of crimes resulting in classification under this section
